Leo Brouwer comes from a distinguished pedigree, being the grandnephew of Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona. His grotesque support of Communism aside, he is among the finest classical music guitarists of his generation, and his handling of Astor Piazzolla, in particular, is extremely impressive.
