The Bulgarian Voices Angelite are the continuation of the Bulgarian State Television Female Vocal Choir, made famous in the west as Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares, who became popular through a release on 4AD Records and a collaboration with British singer Kate Bush. Here they are singing one of the most beautiful hymns in the Eastern Orthodox canon.

A group of American women who do justice to the Eastern Orthodox choral music of Russia, Bulgaria, Romania and other locales, they treat the material with reverence and sing in a nearly angelic manner. One of the best choral collections I’ve heard in some time.
