Up until today, I had no idea who Schneider Kacirek was. Thanks to Toni Dimitrov, my old friend, I got turned on to this track, and this rather incredible project. It features Stefan Schneider, who was in Kriedler and To Rococo Rot. No wonder why the beats sounded familiar!

A real treasure here. Nühn hail from Barcelona, Spain, and cover ground in all kinds of electronica. Here’s the twist: the vocals come off reminding me of a younger Vini Reilly, when The Durutti Column’s music was at its most fragile.

Julio Gutiérrez (Cremadelic in this guise) has few side projects which will eventually be featured on these pages. This one is something akin to shoegaze music touching base with IDM.

I can’t say I follow much IDM anymore (or EDM, Breakcore, or whatever the name the genre passes itself off as this week), but I’m really enjoying Venetian Snares tearing up the computer speakers right now.
