Post-Industrial experimental music from the Czech Republic, but not the same old thing. Vladimír Hirsch has the sensibility of a film soundtrack composer, separating him from the kids who turn on a vacuum, record it, and call garbage like that ‘art’.

[Music] Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings – White Christmas
Though I normally prefer listening to hymns during this time of the year, it’s time to break out some soul music as well, courtesy of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings.
[Music] Chorus Archdiocese of Tripoli and Koura and Surroundings Orthodox – Give Thanks Unto The Lord
An appropriate piece for the Thanksgiving holiday. May you all have a wonderful one with family and friends by your side.
[Music] Family – Face In The Cloud
Family were a folk-prog band led by singer and guitarist Roger Chapman. This track features a touch of sitar and a gentle, hazy vibe to it.
[Music] Setna – Live: Voir / Ouverture / Conscience
Thanks to Tyler Chovski who posted this rather remarkable ensemble from France. Setna are heavily influenced by Magma and do a great job working in the zeuhl genre.
[Music] Rational Diet – Pukhow
It’s a crying shame that Belarusian Rock-In-Opposition-influenced band Rational Diet is no more. For my taste, they had carried the torch first illumined by bands such as Art Zoyd, Univers Zero and Henry Cow.
[Music] Miguel Alzerreka Cuarteto – Lord Suave
Miguel Alzerreka is a vibraphonist from Mexico. I came across him thanks to a newsletter from Museo Tamayo, one of Mexico’s best centers for art, music and culture.
Miguel also has a Soundcloud page worth exploring.
[Music] Jurica Jelić – Sve nijanse Dinare (All shades of Dinara)
I’m extremely pleased to announce the new release of Croatia’s best experimental bassist, Jurica Jelić! He hails from Knin, and produces a mélange of genres, mixing classical, post-punk, and Slavic paganism as his bass influences.
[Music] Bosques De Mi Mente – Jardin De Estatuas
Something tranquil, bordering on New Age and ethereal music, from Spain’s Bosques De Mi Mente.
[Music] Influenza – Astral Plane
A very pleasant surprise from this obscure Dutch band. I’m not sure if Influenza has a website, but former member of the band Peng Øffe, is the man responsible for posting this nugget.
