Sōzu is a project from Italy run by Paolo Mascolini. He’s become a favorite on my Soundcloud feed. This particular piece, about 15 minutes in length, goes into cosmic territory, mixing a Floyd-ish dreamscape with early ambient and Krautrock/Kosmische Musik flourishes.

[Video] John Zorn – Somnambulisme (Man Ray)
‘Sublime’ isn’t a word one normally associates with John Zorn, but this might be one of those rare moments when it fits rather nicely.
Thanks to dear Silena Lena for posting this originally!
[Video] P16.D4 + S. B. O. T. H. I. – My Last Words Will Be
Thanks to Isidora Mikhailovich, whose Facebook post took me down memory lane. P16.D4 were the project of Ralf Wehowski, who would go on to record as RLW. S. B. O. T. H. I. was the project of Achim Wollscheid. Both were composers based in Germany working with extreme experimental music. Most of what I had from these artists was on cassette tapes. I pine for those days on occasion.
[Sample] Joseph Benzola – Collected Works: 2012-2014
Composer, pianist, percussionist and all-around good guy Joseph Benzola has been hiding quite a few treasures. He’s done the world a favor by releasing some of his sketches through his Bandcamp site.
[Sample] Philip Jeck – Suite: Live In Liverpool
When I was collecting CDs from the legendary Touch Records label out of England, I came across the work of turntablist (for lack of a more appropriate term, as old vinyl records are his weapons of choice) Philip Jeck. The man was an alchemist as far as I was concerned, but I lost track of his releases about 6 years ago or so.
Thanks to my good friend Qualo Infinity, who posts scores of great music onto his Facebook page (both his own and others’) for enlightening me to this release.
[Video] Jóhann Jóhannsson – How We Left Fordlandia
Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson sends us off to dreamland with a cut from the album Fordlandia.
[Video] Ocadium – Hydroelectricity
Many thanks to my good friend, Qualo Infinity, who records this track under one of his many pseudonyms. He is a master craftsman of experimental music.
[Podcast] ‘Winter lends an me an ear’ by Klankschap
Winter lends an me an ear by Klankschap on Mixcloud
Christophe Ywaska, a rather good experimental musician, did me the kindness of turning me on to Klankschap’s most recent podcast. Well-balanced ambient music for a rather cool evening in Los Angeles.
[Music] محور عشق – جاوید افسری راد / Mehvare Eshgh – Javid Afsari Rad
A totally new name to me, but one of the most pleasant instrumental tracks I’ve heard in some time. Santur music at its finest. Worth a deep listen.
Anna Homler Interview in Netwerk 1992

Anna Homler is a Los Angeles-based artist who sings using an invented language. Her work is utterly musical and listenable, while retaining its experimental edge. She also happens to be a friend. Imagine my surprise when Belgian artists The Hybryds released this two-part interview with Anna from 1992.
The Internet never ceases to amaze me!
