Sure, Red Sparowes have some of the most ridiculously long titles in post-rock. Even with this, they produce a loud, but rather beautiful sound

[Music] Werkbund – Haithabu
Many thanks to my good friend Miodrag Cheza Stojanovic, who posts some of the most amazing experimental videos. Werkbund (alias of Uli Rehberg) were a German experimental/post-Industrial project who made some stunning cassettes and CDs in the 90s.
[Music] Jos Smolders – Passion (For Rudy Carrera)
Yes, you’re reading this right. This one is dedicated to yours truly.
Jos Smolders, the legendary Dutch experimental composer and sonic alchemist, worked on this project in Easter, 2014. To say I’m both thankful and honored for the dedication is a massive understatement. It is perfect evening listening, even after more than a year of its release here on Soundcloud.
[Music] Uri Caine & Masada String Trio – Jazz in Marciac 2008
A stunning bit of live footage here. Though the stars of the video are John Zorn’s Masada String Trio, pianist Uri Caine utterly dominates the first half of the show with gorgeous improvisation.
The lineup for the night:
Uri Caine – Piano
Mark Feldman – Violin
Erik Friedlander – Cello
Greg Cohen – Double bass
John Zorn – Direction
[Music] Ryoji Ikeda – Back in Black
Experimental musicians are a funny lot. They put out strange, sometimes stiff, clinical sound experiments. And then Ryoji Ikeda decides to have a laugh and make a static and blip cover of AC/DC‘s seminal classic. Genius.
And thanks to the ever darling Christine Tesla Coil who originally posted this.
[Music] Robert Fripp & Brian Eno – The Equatorial Stars (2004)
This is one of the few times I miss a critically important release. Robert Fripp & Brian Eno had collaborated at least twice before for full albums, but this one is a change of pace. Perfect for listening on a calm, quiet day.
A salute to my friend Valtazar Zauberquelle for posting this.
[Music] Ya disponible la Pre-release del primer cd recopilatorio de La Montaña Rusa Radio Jazz!

Wonderful news from our friends in Spain! After all these years of having a wonderful radio program, La Montaña Rusa Radio Jazz has decided to release their first-ever CD. They will be a huge asset to the incredible talent Spain has to offer.
[Music] Z’ev – Wipe Out (1982)
Z’ev was one of the kings of the early post-Industrial/experimental music scene. Starting off as a normal drummer in the 1960s, he began experimenting with all sorts of found objects, studying their percussive qualities. In a rather bizarre experiment, here he is covering Wipeout by The Surfaris.
[Music] Michèle Bokanowski – Tabou
Michèle Bokanowski composed this piece for Metamkine Records in France. It was featured in a series called Cinéma pour l’oreille, which were released as 3-inch CDs.
[Music] Various Artists – Hungarian Electronic Music
A magnificent compilation of some of the finest experimental music from Hungary, produced by the Hungaroton label.
