An appropriate piece for the Thanksgiving holiday. May you all have a wonderful one with family and friends by your side.

[Music] Oi Va Voi – Ladino Song
Oi Va Voi are a World Music band out of England who explore Sephardic and Yiddish traditional music, twisting it up into something fresh.
[Music] Caetano Veloso – Qualquer Coisa
Sublime Sunday listening, provided by Caetano Veloso.
[Music] Larisa Sadikoeva – Caucasian Medley
A stunningly beautiful accordionist from the Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia, in Russia, Larisa Sadikoeva is seen here playing in several different styles from the Caucasian region.
[Music] Zaid Hajarat – Qafa
We don’t have a lot of Circassian music coming around these days, but this cut by Zaid Hajarat is a winner.
[Music] Ertuğrul Erkişi – Saba Taksim
Ertuğrul Erkişi is a composer of Turkish Sufi music. I’m quite new to his work, but this is pleasant.
[Music] Madredeus – Alfama
Portugal’s gift to the world, Madredeus collaborated with Jürgen Kniepper in making the soundtrack to his film Lisbon Story. This track is featured on their soundtrack, available here.
숨 [su:m] – Passing Rain
Another killer from Max Franosch.
숨 [suːm] are another incredible band from South Korea. I can’t seem to find much information on the duo (except that they are Jiha Park and Yanggeum), but they perform on what look to be traditional instruments, and the sound is both hypnotic and powerful.
[Music/Religion] Chamanisme en Sibérie : Les esprits écoutent avec Henri Lecomte
A wonderful program in French on Siberian shamanism. Listen to the music. There is a thread one would find familiar in a lot of Native American music.
[Music] Crisalida – Violeta Gris
Chilean progressive rock band Crisalida perform a song in honor of folk singer and visual artist Violeta Parra.
