I’m a bit late with this article, but it discusses a treasure trove of art which was forbidden in the Soviet Union. It turns out that these pieces were socked away in the Karakalpakstan province of Uzbekistan.

Nolan (then known as N. F.) Porter was an American Northern Soul singer whose hit, which we’re hearing now, would be the catalyst for Joy Division getting signed to a major label. While the band scrapped their attempt at covering the song, the guitar lick would serve as the foundation of their track, Interzone, as heard below:

Polar Inertia offer a wonderfully minimalistic beat-oriented experience, something almost cosmic in scope. You can get a bit more about this French troupe here.

Imagine a hyperactive Strawberry Switchblade doing God-knows-what with Alvin & The Chipmunks, but in a positive way. This, ladies and gentlemen, is Seiko Oomori. She will be huge with just a wee push.
